Hi, I’m Leticia Hall, a Brazilian-born artist based in the Berkshire countryside. I grew up on an island in southern Brazil, surrounded by music, art, and creativity. My grandmother, an oil painter, was my first teacher at the easel. Another grandmother filled our home with song, and my father often played guitar late into the night. Art and music were everywhere, they still are.
I studied Architecture in Brazil, where I fell in love with art history and design. Later, while traveling, photography became my way of framing moments, people, light, stillness. But it wasn’t until I moved to the UK that I returned to painting. It started quietly, in my kitchen, during early motherhood. Slowly, a studio grew. So did my practice.
My work is rooted in memory and place, the texture of home, the light of distant coastlines, the feelings we can’t quite name. I work mainly in acrylic and mixed media, exploring layered surfaces and quiet emotion.
Thank you for visiting my studio online. I hope my paintings speak to something personal in you, too.
